Hebrew Board Book Edition
The Dirty Yiftach is the Hebrew edition of Struwwelpeter, the classic children's book by German doctor Heinrich Hoffmann. More than a hundred years ago, Dr. Hoffmann went to buy his young son a funny book as a holiday gift. Instead, he came home with a large drawing notebook and decided to turn it into a book himself, filling every page with cheerful drawings and his own rhymes.
That is how a whole cast of memorable characters was born, led by the hero himself, the Dirty Yiftach, known in the original as Struwwelpeter. First published in 1845, the book became a huge success that continues to this day and has been translated into dozens of languages. Part of it first appeared in Hebrew decades ago under the title Yehoshua HaParua.
