Finn Family Moomintroll - Tove Jansson

Hebrew Book Edition

Finn Family Moomintroll (The Magician's Hat) is a Hebrew book for young readers by Tove Jansson. One spring morning, after the long winter sleep, Moomintroll and his friends set out to explore the awakening Moomin Valley. On a mountaintop they find an especially elegant hat and hurry to bring it home as a gift for Moominpappa. But this is no ordinary hat. Soon the mischievous friends find themselves flying on clouds, sailing to a lonely island and uncovering an extraordinary secret.

Finnish author Tove Jansson, winner of the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award, created in the Moomin series a moving world, both human and wild. Her unforgettable characters and beautiful illustrations placed her among the greats of world children's literature, and the series has been translated into 33 languages and adapted for theater, film, television and opera.

This new Hebrew translation, faithful to the original, is by Dana Kaspi, one of Israel's leading translators.
