Meeting Myself is a Hebrew non fiction memoir by Omer Shem Tov, born in 2002 and raised in Herzliya. On October 7, 2023, Omer was abducted from the Nova music festival and spent 505 days in Hamas captivity before being released in February 2025.

"My body became light. My ego, my needs, my feelings were laid beside me, not inside me. I never felt so free." During his captivity, Omer spent fifty days in a tiny, pitch dark cell, in isolation and extreme starvation. One day, a small flashlight found its way to him, and each day he switched it on for a moment just to check his eyes could still see. When he came out, he knew he had to write this Hebrew book, a book that would itself become a flashlight for others trying to find their way to the light.
